OUR VALUES - The Why Matters
Turning towards challenge and difficulty with courage, we want to;
Support environmental resilience
Promote confidence and resilience in children and families
Witness and enhance psychological resilience for people at times of personal transition and adversity
“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us.
When we see land as a community to which we belong,
we may begin to use it with love and respect.” (Aldo Leopold)
No set of goals and objectives includes everything.
This is what we are about.
We plant the seeds that one day will grow.
We water seeds already planted,
knowing that they hold future promise.
We lay future foundations that will need further development
We provide yeast that produces efforts far beyond our capabilities.
We cannot do everything,
and there is a sense of liberation in realising that.
This enables us to do something, and to do it very well.
(Extract of Oscar Romero Prayer “A future not our own”)
